Porthcawl is a tourist location. Most seaside views are focussed out from the coast and along the coastal fringe. The windfarm, however, is 2 - 3 km inland, behind Porthcawl and away from these views. Several views of the windfarm from the coast are available in the visualisations section.

The windfarm may be an additional feature of interest for some visitors to Porthcawl adding to the tourist assets of the area. A modern wind turbine can be an exciting and fascinating thing. The good road access enables rare close up observation of a wind turbine, where most large windfarms are located in more difficult to reach locations allowing only distant views.

Being located only a few minutes from the M4 motorway, the windfarm would be an easily accessible and practical site for educational visits from schools all over South Wales. This opportunity could be supported with information boards, parking, etc.
