Windfarms can cause serious problems for aviation, interfering with radar, military low flying, etc. The windfarm site is outside the locally important areas of controlled airspace (see below). The Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Defence have both been consulted for a windfarm on the site and did not have objections.
